Finland contains 35 national parks from the Southern shores of the Gulf of Finland to Lapland. Car hire at  Helsinki Airport can make it easy to discover this huge area. It is also an urbanised region with a lot of cultural events and activities. Commercial ships between major coastal and port cities in the Baltic region, including Helsinki, Turku, Tallinn, Stockholm and Travemunde, play a major role in the local tourism. Above the Arctic Circle, you can see polar light, a period when the sun doesn't rise for days or weeks, or even months.

Lapland, at the north of Finland, is so far north that the fantastic Aurora Borealis, atmospheric fluorescence, is seen regularly in winter. Discover Bulgaria by Car

Bulgaria is a Southern European country, it has a population of 9 million. The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia, with a population of 1.4 million. To the east is the Black Sea, the natural border. The capital and the seat of government is Sofia. Other important economic, administrative and cultural centres are the cities of Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse and Stara Zagora. The Bulgarian Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, however, mentions the orthodox Christianity as a traditional religion of Bulgaria (the autocephalous Bulgarian Orthodox Church was recognized in 927).

Thanks to the end of the relationships with the Soviet Union, the economy experienced a major crisis from which it has only recovered since 2004. The high-tech computer hardware industry disappeared completely. Between 1989 and 1995, real income went down by almost 70 percent, living standards fell by 40%. The social system, especially the system of health insurance and pensions broke down largely.

The capital offers many places of special interest such as the Sts. Cyril and Methodius National Library, the Sofia State Library and the Open Society Institute. The city is also known for the Boyana Church, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. In addition, Sofia houses the eye-popping Sofia Zoological Garden, which was founded in 1888. Car hire in Bulgaria is a good idea for exploring these landmarks. Visitors can book in advance an online car hire from Sofia Airport and pick it up upon arrival without the hassle.

The breathtaking Vitosha Boulevard is ranked as one of the most expensive commercial street, it represents numerous fashion boutiques and luxury goods stores and features exhibitions by world fashion designers. Several film productions were made here.

Winter tourist centres, such as Bansko, Borovetz, Pamporovo and Vitosha are popular ski resorts, they can be approached easily by car. The Bulgarian resorts are on the Black Sea coast, they include Sozopol, Nessebur, Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas, Albena and Saints Constantine and Helena. When it comes to car hire, you can choose from great selection of vehicles. Mountaineers love the granite mountains of Rila, Pirin and the Balkan. Tourist, car renters like the mountains of Vitosha and the Rhodopes. Mountain biking, and bicycle racing are also popular recreations, and Bulgaria is one of six countries to annually host the official 1,200 km Randonnees - ultra-marathon bicycle rides patterned after Paris-Brest-Paris.

Situated at the crossroads of the East and West, Bulgaria has been home to many civilizations - Thracians, Romans, Slavs, Byzantines, Bulgarians, and Ottomans. Although Bulgaria is rich in historical artifacts, many of the museums and monasteries need to be properly advertised and maintained, and some of the most interesting heritage sites may not be easily accessible, due to poor infrastructure. That's why I recommend car hire, this way you can discover the country with minimum effort.

Holidays In Spain By Car

The Kingdom of Spain has a population of 46 million, the capital is Madrid. The borders of the country are naturally created by geographic features. Rent a car and explore this beautiful country. The busiest airport in Spain is the airport of Madrid (Barajas), with 50,8 million passengers in 2008, being the world's 11th busiest airport. Car rental at Madrid airport is possible to book online before the trip online.

The Airport of Barcelona (El prat) is also important with 30 million passengers. Don't forget to check out the car hire specialists online like  Izzirent. The most convenient way to assure your car is to pre book online and pick up desired car rental at Barcelona airport upon arrival. Barcelona airport is one of many locations where car rentals are pre booked in advance for 6 – 8 months, specially May and summer peak season from June to September.
The Escorial monastery was put up in 1584 by Philip II for the memory of Saint Lawrence, who was a Christian martyr. The old and deeply religious king lived here the final years of his life. The royal rooms are actually in the church. His bedroom is located right next to the main altar. The structure complex is monumental, it's a kind of blend of a monastery and a royal palace.
The architecture of Barcelona is dominated by Antony Gaudi's mind-blowing Art Noveau style. The Expiatory Church of the Holy Family (Sagrada Familia) is maybe the most inspiring and mind-boggling church in Christianity. It is not completed yet, the construction started on 1886. The construction is funded by the steep price of the visitor tickets. It reflects the passionate religiousness of the Spanish people. The church features organic, plant-like structures, it seems as if the building stones were alive.
The cuisine of Spain is basically Mediterranean, it uses a lot of seafood, olive oil, hot spices.
Car hire in Spain is a good way of travelling the country. Spanish road system is mainly centralized, with 6 highways connecting Madrid to Basque Country, Catalonia, Valencia, Andalusia, Extremadura and Galicia. Additionally, there are highways along the Atlantic (Ferrol to Vigo), Cantabrian (Oviedo to San Sebastian) and Mediterranean (Girona to Almeria) coasts.
You can also travel to the remote places quickly by car. Other important landmarks include the historical centre of Cordoba, the Alhambra, the Cathedral of Burgos, buildings of Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona, and the old city of Santiago de Compostela. The palaeolithic paintings in Altamira are worth seeing by car. This place is one of the most important site of prehistoric art, it is located in the Cantabrian Mountain. It was discovered in 1868, and eleven years later scientists found beautiful painting in one of the inner caves. 600 paintings and 1500 drawing was found in the cave. The biggest cave is the hall of bulls, it contains four big scale paintings. The prehistoric man painted bison, mammoths, boars, deer. The also found the tools in the clay ground.
The copy of the cave has been opened for visitors in 2001, this is the Altamira Museum, which is the property of the Spanish state. The preservation of the original paintings is the reason of the duplication.
Altamira is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as Palaeolithic Cave Art of Northern Spain. 17 additional caves decorated with palaeolithic painting were added to the list in 2008. These paintings represent the culture of whole Europe, from the Ural to the Iberian Peninsula, from 35,000 BC to 11,000 BC. Given the fact that the modern man spotted Europe for the first time around 40,000 BC, these paintings can be considered as the first impressions of the European continent. The deep caves conserved the paintings, while potential open air paintings are washed away by the rain.

There's a good infrastructure and a modern highway system in Slovenia. The two centres are the capital Ljubljana and Maribor. The Montenegrin road infrastructure is not as advanced as European standards. Still, car rental is the best way of travelling through Montenegro and see the most remote sights. Despite an extensive road network, no roads are constructed to full highway standards, though two current roadway projects, the Bar - Boljare highway and the Montenegrin section of Adriatic Ionian highway, should change this. Building of these highways is considered a national priority, as both are important for regional economic development and the development of Montenegro as an elite tourist destination visited by many world known celebrites from sport and showbusiness.

Cyprus Offers Much More Than Just Resorts

Cyprus is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, with a total population of 800,000. Throughout the history, every empire wanted to rule this well-placed island. It was always an important commercial centre between Europe, Africa and Eurasia. Larnaca International Airport is an international airport located 4 km south-west of Larnaca. This is the main international airfield of Cyprus. Ususally vistiors to Cyprus pre book car hire at Larnaca airport before arrival online.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snyQTA8BGzE&feature=related]
The majority of the population is Greek, but there is a considerable Turkish minority. The capital of Cyprus is Nicosia. In the 1960s, the capital was divided between the island's Greek and Turkish communities in the south and north. An attempted coup to unite the island with Greece in 1974 led to a Turkish invasion, leaving the capital divided since then, with Turkish Cypriots claiming the north as the capital of their own state, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, recognised only by Turkey.

Nicosia is situated in the middle of the island. The old city is worth seeing, the Venetian wall from the 16th century, the Leventis Museum, which presents the history of the city, and the Cultural Museum. Consider visiting the Byzantian Museum in the Episcopal Palace, and the wonderful Famagusta Gate. In the northern part of the city you can find the Ataturk square, the Levo Girne Gate and the Turkish Museum. One of the most popular landmarks is the Buyuk Hamam, which is a 12th century Turkish bath.

The earliest known human activity on the island dates back to around the 10th millennium BC. Archaeological artefacts from this period include the Neolithic village of Choirokoitia, which has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, along with the Tombs of the Kings. Cyprus is home to some of the oldest water wells in the world, and is the site of the earliest known example of feline domestication. I'd consider a car hire service to explore these ancient sites.

In Cyprus, the Carnival is celebrated for 10 days just before the beginning of Lent. The Carnival had been celebrated on the island by dressing up, holding masked balls and visiting friend's houses in fancy costumes. The festival is celebrated in the city of Limassol, which holds the largest annual carnival on the island. The carnival season changes according to the Greek Orthodox calendar on the island.

Limassol is the second largest town in Cyprus, it has an old city and an old harbour. The town is especially romantic at night, with plenty of bars open. The great wine festival is held annually here, which is one of the most popular event for the visitors. For those who love independance and freedom on vacation it is most convenient way to discover all the beauties of the city a car hire in Limassol. The most beloved holiday resort is Kyrenia, which is located at the northern part of the Republic. The greatest attraction of the town is the Mediterranean beach, the intimate streets, the lovely cafes, restaurants, bars. A Roman castle, a Byzantine chapel and a shipwreck museum is located in the town.
However, most of the tourist come to enjoy the sunlight, the breathtaking beach, the blue sea, the overwhelming Mediterranean feeling, the healthy Mediterranean food. Visitors can choose between skiing one the slopes of the Troodos mountain, playing golf by the sea, fitness and wellness activities. With car hire on Cyprus moving around becomes easy and comfortable.
